This recent posting on Saab’s history in commercial air travel, reminded me of some great posters I have that exhibited the former Saab-Scania partnership in the ’80s. The following two photos were done in 1983. These photos show a Saab 900 or 9000 with a Saab 340 commercial jet and a SCANIA truck.
I had to question the date initially when I saw the 9000 photo, then I realized the the following history. The Saab 9000 first release in Europe was 1984 and that means that it was released in the fall of 1983. The Saab 9000 was also released in the United States in 1986, which would be the fall of 1985.
